During
the CES 2012, Intel announced its intention to open its technology of video
transmission wireless, the famous WiDi (or Wireless Display), to some of its competitors in
the connected television sets
sector.
So,
we can find manufacturers as Cavium, Mstar Semiconductor, Sigma Designs,
Realtek, or still Wondermedia. They are all specialized in multimedia, and we
usually find them in external boxes or
directly integrated within television sets.
That
should finally democratize the caster technology,
which for the moment require a box from Belkin or Netgear for example, plus of
course the master laptop, equiped with an intel CPU and a Wi-Fi chip
from the same brand.
